The Carbonate Reservoir Group at the Institute of Petroleum Engineering is world-renowned for its applied and fundamental research on improving the predictability of hydrocarbon recovery from carbonate reservoirs.




Open postions

We currently have the opening for a fully-funded PhD position (available to UK and EU citizens) to study dynamic multi-phase flow processes using experiments carried out with 3D printed micro-fluidics devices. For further details see the main IPE website.

Researchers with own funding

MSc student projects at IPE

Every year we supervise a significant number of MSc students at the Institute of Petroleum Engineering from all three MSc programmes (PE, REM, PG) on projcets related to carbonate reservoirs. Interested MSc students should contact any of our senior staff to discuss possiple individual projects.
